The World Cup, an open club competition, held every two years in the even-numbered years. Brighton 2012 is from Wednesday 3rd October until Monday 8th October.
The tournament will last for 5 days, with the first day for registration, weigh in and meetings and the following 4 days for competition and then everyone departing on the Monday.
The World Cup is open to any school, club and/or individual who is part of the ITF under the presidency of Grandmaster Trajtenberg and registered on the ITF database.
Clubs and Associations who are members of any other ITF can apply directly to participate however they must follow the rules as set out in ITF Competition Rules.

Competitors must be the age in that category on the first day of competition (4th October) to be eligible to compete, for example a competitor who is 17 years on 4th October but has their birthday on 5th October will compete in the 15-17 Years category.
In the World Cup, there are usually four individual events available for all competitors and two team events, however pre arranged Sparring has now been introduced for 15yrs+ Black belts and for the first time Individual Power Test for 18yrs+ Black belts.
